In this episode we do a bit of ‘housekeeping’ and catch up with people who have emailed in. We also have a look at the next in the long line of iconic legacy cards: Swords to Plowshares. We discuss its history, its uses relative to other types of removal, functional reprints and how different archetypes tend to use it.

SoLS has never been relevant in anything. It’s always been SoFI and SoFF.
Before SoFFs printing SoLS was widely played. It also had a nice resurgence in maverick when that was tier 1 and Teeg with a SoLS was/is a hard lock against miracles (not to mention recurring an eternal witness gives you monumental card advantage :)). I personally would still play it over SoFF, but since True Name Nemesis, it seems clear that SoFI would be most peoples first choice for a sword.
